OVO Central Vacuum
FAQ2019-07-25T14:21:01-04:00
I have several wires going to the vacuum, can I connect them all in the low-voltage socket ?2025-01-07T14:18:51-05:00

Note: We always recommend to use professionals help for the electrical installation.

No, our low voltage connectors can only accepte one wire at a time.  You will need to splice the positive wires together and the negative wires together into one single wire for each positive and negative.

Most low voltage wires will have a specific color coating ( ex : black , white, red or white/black etc ) for exemple, connect all the black wires together and all the red wire together. You simply add a piece of wire to each bundle ( one red and one black) this single wire can then be connected to your low-voltage socket on the unit.

HEPA filter, how to install and what is it for ?2025-01-07T13:57:43-05:00

The HEPA filter is an extra filtration bag that is installed over the permanent filter. Mostly used for strong allergies, for pets or for additional filtration and added protection for the motor.

What is the maintenance difference between using a disposable bag and bag-less ?2025-01-07T13:54:15-05:00

Using your system with a disposable filtration bag will add protection to your motor and reduce the maintenance time. Since all the debris will be contained in the bag, the washable permanent filter will stay cleaner and will last longer.

Using your system without a disposable filtration bag is not issue. You may have to clean your canister and permanent filter more often. If done properly, this will prevent debris from reaching the motor and ensures maximum motor performance.

What is the 500 hours service?2021-01-07T11:55:13-05:00
Service At 500hrs is to be sure to protect your motor by changing the carbon brushes. Note, the vacuum will not stop after 500 hours, but if it continues without service, it could burn out the motor if the carbon brushes aren’t changed
When the light turns red, it means the carbon brushes need replacement
But before this happen, the orange light will warn you to change the carbon brushes, which you can do easily at home.
Changing the carbon brushes will make your unit good for another 500 hours or more depending on the usage of your system
